The former Miami Heat star turns his newly completed Coral Gables property into a multimillion-dollar sale, highlighting the continued demand for exclusive waterfront and gated-community homes in South Florida.

Former NBA champion Juwan Howard has secured a $25 million sale for his newly built luxury home in Coral Gables, Florida, marking a major real estate transaction for the former basketball star and current Brooklyn Nets assistant coach.

The property, located within the exclusive gated community of Journey’s End, was completed earlier this year before finding a buyer in a deal that places it among the notable luxury-home transactions in the South Florida market.

Howard, who won two NBA championships with the Miami Heat, was represented in the transaction by Lauren Schrager and Toni Schrager of Brown Harris Stevens. The buyer was represented by Carla Defortuna and Carolina Cuadra of Fortune Christie’s International Real Estate. However, the buyer’s identity has not been publicly disclosed.

The $25 million sale reflects the continuing appeal of Coral Gables among wealthy homeowners seeking privacy, security and access to South Florida’s luxury lifestyle. The area has become an attractive destination for business executives, international investors, professional athletes and celebrities looking for exclusive residential properties.

Journey’s End is particularly sought after for its private setting and prestigious residential environment. Its location within Coral Gables also offers convenient access to Miami’s business districts, upscale shopping destinations, restaurants and waterfront attractions.

Howard’s career in professional basketball spans more than two decades. He first established himself as a standout player with the Washington Bullets before playing for several NBA franchises, including the Miami Heat, where he won championships in 2012 and 2013. Following his retirement as a player, he moved into coaching and later became head coach of the University of Michigan men’s basketball team. He currently serves as an assistant coach for the Brooklyn Nets.

Although Howard did not publicly comment on the transaction, the sale demonstrates how prominent sports figures are increasingly connected to the luxury property market, where newly constructed estates can attract substantial interest from high-net-worth buyers.

The $25 million deal adds another high-profile transaction to South Florida’s luxury real estate landscape, reinforcing Coral Gables’ reputation as one of the region’s most desirable addresses for exclusive residential living.
