What began as the search for a peaceful vacation retreat unexpectedly evolved into a winemaking venture for a San Francisco couple after they purchased a rural property in Sonoma County.
Shannon and Alex Niehenke bought a Spanish-style home near Santa Rosa in 2020, drawn to its quiet surroundings, scenic creek, spacious grounds, and family-friendly setting. The property offered an escape from city life while remaining close to everyday conveniences, making it an ideal weekend destination for the couple and their two young sons.
